Don't waste your time on social interactive sites

Some of us spend too much time on social interactive sites (i.e. facebook, hi5, twitter, etc). Instead of talking to your friends, co-workers and family, we prefer to tease, joke, poke and respond to someone we hardly know living across the world. Spending time wisely and meaningfully with family members and people who really care about you (instead of those who always try to get into your pants) can make us all feel more wholesome and real.

We can't deny that the people we see or live with everyday can sometimes be boring but they are the ones who will visit you at a hospital when you get sick, go to your lame birthday party and try to help you pay the bill, or help you unconditionally when you are in trouble (DUIs included). Sorry I'm not here to teach anyone. In fact, I think I'm just reminding myself not to waste too much time chatting and building my online profile to impress people that I have a lot of cool friends and have been to so many countries.

It's true that these sites help you discover lost friends and keep in touch with your buddies but what is the point of all this when we can't even touch real people we come into contact everyday on a fundamental level. I have seen some people being converted to a social interactor that they can't communicate intuitively or naturally in person anymore. Don't let that be you. Don't be a prey of what the society think you should do to be pleased. That is not who you really are.

After all, don't we all deserve a nice warm hug from those boring people we live with everyday? So let's start trying because true love and care can only be earned not "EDITED". Thanks for reading.
