Ten Sauna Mengjai
Unexpected Surprise.
Walking in after having a pig stomach soup and parking on the street to Ten Sauna, the first thing I find as I enter the building is a wooden counter with two friendly ladies seeming a little busy but welcoming. "Sauna krub", I said and one of the receptionists offered me a mysterious box that looks like a deposit box at the banks. I put all my valuables in it and she gave me two keys number 27.
I then walked on to change my slippers and enter the lockers to find a matching locker number. A staff offered me pants and towel and kept my key. I entered the frosted glass door to find a huge open space in-door with a pool, sauna, steam room, shower room, drinks bar, gym and sitting area.
I started with a shower, wet my towel and entered the 90 degrees sauna for almost 10 mins before diving into a surprise ice-cold pool. The feeling was truly invigorating! I repeated the process 5 times and felt a total satisfaction for the mind and body!
The steam room was good, free ice water, fruits and desserts were offered. All this for 180 baht! What a pleasant surprise!
Although the place is not brand new or super clean, I'd still recommend it if you are looking for something out of ordinary.
