Money makes you ugly

(I wrote this story and I'm turning it into a song for children)

Once upon a time
In a land far far away
A village sits by the bay
Settled this farmland girl

She lives a simple life
Growing just fruits and rice
Taking a nap twice
Under a big old tree

She has a lovely smile
To cheer people for miles
Everyone loves her style
of being so kind to friends

She loves to listen
Even when everyone doesn't
She feels like a cousin
You can always talk to

One day a message was sent
From Grand Palace in a distance
about a Price who'll instant-ly
Marry a girl if he's happy

The girl left her cottage
And journey to the Royal gate
To try out for her own fate
Wishing to be discovered

The Price looks out his window
Suddenly her heart glows
Little that she knows
The Price has fallen for this farmgirl

The guards gently escorted her
And arranged for her transfer
To live in a new quarter
Together with her Price-charming

The Princess life in luxury
Exempted her from all duties
She now has all the money
To spend anyway she wants

Soon she heard from Palaces
There are richer Princesses
Wanting to top all the places
She demands more of every treasure

The Price seeks moderation
She cares only for perfection
With no other consideration
But to become richer and richer

She turned bitter and tough
Beat and yell at all her staff
Never again did she laugh
Or simply smile for anyone

The Price is so very sad
To see the Princess gone mad
To see his precious love gone bad
He told the princess bluntly

Money makes you ugly
Money makes you ugly
Money makes you ugly
Money makes you ugly
